A new idea

I am tossing around the idea of setting up a blog for Garland County EHC. I think this might be a solution to some of our communication issues. For example, we have gotten several calls at the office today from people who did not receive information about the leader lesson. They did not receive the information because they were not the designated "leader" for the particular topic this month. This seems to happen pretty regularly. There has got to be a better way to do this. I realize that not everyone has Internet access or would actually log on. But some would.

My ideas for what could go up on this blog:
1. Information about meetings and deadlines, and links to documents, like lesson guides that are already made up and posted on the Extension web site
2. General info about EHC
3. Info that has changed from the yearbook--for example, meetings that are scheduled at one place but have moved to another.

I am thinking that a blog might be the way to go because people can subscribe to it and get an update notification when any new content has been added.
