Crafts Galore

The annual Hot Springs Arts and Crafts Fair sponsored by the Garland County Extension Homemakers Council will be held on October 1, 2, and 3 at the Garland County Fairgrounds. The hours on Friday and Saturday are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 12 noon to 5 p.m. Be sure to visit the EHC Country Store and the EHC Kitchen. If you see Peggy Barnett, congratulate her on another successful year!

Special Interest Workshop
November 5, 2010



The Special Interest Workshop for November will be a 3-D Quilted Wall Hanging. Sheryl White will be the teacher and Cooks-R-Us is the host club. Pre-cut kits will be furnished for the wall hanging and students will go home with a finished (quilted) wall hanging. The supplies you will need to bring are sewing machine, medium tan or green colored thread and bobbin to match, scissors and straight pins. Cost for the workshop is $23 dollars for members and $24 dollars for non-members. Deadline for registration is Nov. 2nd. To register and pay fee contact the Extension Office at 236 Woodbine, Hot Springs, AR, 623-6841 or 922-4703. The workshop will be at the EHC building, 4831 Malvern Rd. You might want to bring a lunch in case the workshop continues past 12AM.

Congrats!

The 2010 Garland County Fair is over except for check out and cleanup. Congratulations to all who participated and especially to those who won a sweepstakes. Pictured is a quilted piece by Jane Hammonds.
